Mr. Harvinder Singh Lord is a visionary entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a social worker, who with his dynamic leadership has brought about much desired social reforms, in the city of Kanpur, to empower many individuals to become the backbone of an enterprising, productive society.

He is currently serving President of Shri Guru Singh Sabha (Kanpur), the highest decision-making body for the Sikh Gurudwaras in Kanpur. Owing to his exceptional performance and go-the-extra-mile service towards the society, he has the distinction of being elected as the President of Shri Guru Singh Sabha (Kanpur), unopposed since 1999.

Social Activities

A born leader, he is profoundly involved in social work for more than three and a half decades. He has represented Shri Guru Singh Sabha (Kanpur), at various events held at City, State and National levels and has travelled extensively across the country, interacted with top political leaders, Ministers, CEO’s and other Social & Business entrepreneurs.

He along with his team have always kept in view the objectives of establishment of new Gurudwaras, regular maintenance and renovation of old Gurudwaras, betterment of infrastructure facilities of associated schools and colleges, setting up of Medical Camps, maximizing the preaching of religion, convening meetings in different parts of the country from time to time to implement the resolutions in favor of the social reform.

Amid Covid-19 pandemic, when SOS calls and messages for oxygen cylinders were flooding social media platforms, Shri Guru Singh Sabha Kanpur organized "oxygen langar" (free oxygen supply camps) for relief to COVID-19 patients till the time they find a hospital bed or home isolation patients whose saturation levels dropped significantly.

His contribution towards the health of Kanpur citizens have been commendable. Two Homeopathic Dispensaries have been set up at two city Gurudwaras and further free Medical Camps are regularly organized at many Gurudwaras where the needy patients are treated free of cost.

Work done by him for community building and upliftment of the society is unparallel. For his relentless service, the Sangats of Kanpur, other Social Organizations, Sikh Organizations, local Administration, local Government bodies of Kanpur have always shown a full support in his leadership.

Personal

Mr. Harvinder Singh Lord is married to Ms. Rajinder Kaur. They have 3 children: Mr Manjeet Singh (Sonu), Mr Gangandeep Singh (Gagan) and Ms Gesu Hora who are also actively involved in social activities.
